Ever since I was young, I’ve known there is more to life than what we see.

That there is an objective truth hidden in nature. We can all perceive it regardless of religious background, and it has been experienced across cultures throughout generations. We may call it different names, but it is the truth that is God, reflected back to us in the natural world. 

As I’ve grown deeper in my Catholic faith, I’ve been able to better understand this truth and to know that I will never fully understand it. Painting has become a natural way for me to express what I’ve learned and what I am still trying to learn.

I don’t paint for the sake of art or beauty; I paint to help me understand these reflections of God.
